July
11th Open Tournament
Cooper
River – Cypress Gardens Landing
The
July 11th tournament was an open tournament fished out of Cypress Gardens
Landing on the Cooper River. We had 22 members and 4 guests fishing.
Fishing weather was tolerable at first with some decent winds early then
none and miserable later. Air temps were in the mid 90s.
20 of 22 members caught at least a single fish. We had 6 limits and
2 zeroes out of 22 club members fishing. We had 4 guests fishing
and 3 of the 4 caught at least one fish. A total of 54 fish were
caught for this event weighing in at 80.51 lbs. This averages out
to be 1.49 lbs. per fish caught for the July tournament.
Since we were on the river, the number of fish caught were up from last
month’s lake trek. The legal length of River fish is 12 vice the
14 inches on the lake.
